Surviving Love is the newest installment in my favorite series, the Saints Protection and Investigation series. This is book #10 but each story is a standalone. Each member of the Saints team has his strength and when they need a pilot to fly a scientist from a conference in Alaska safely to Washington, DC, Marc is called in. But what starts out as a routine assignment quickly, becomes complicated. Marc is hoping to one day find his soulmate, a woman who can compliment his active, outdoorsy lifestyle, but only finds himself in superficial relationships. "“And what if you’re not around—” “I will be. I promise,” he vowed, holding her gaze, willing her to lean on his strength. Needing her to in away he didn’t quite understand." Kendall is the daughter of a renowned scientist and an important scientist herself. She has always been sheltered but when tested she discovers inner strengths even she didn't realize. "She had felt lost in his kiss…and then found, all at the same time." Maryann Jordan is a master of combining a really sweet and loving romance with excitement, suspense and danger.

Another really great book in this series! This time it's Marc's turn to fall hard for the woman of his dreams. When Marc meets Kendall, he sees a frail, sickly scientist, but yet he is drawn to her. Kendall is a scientist who considers herself a nerd and no one someone like Marc would look twice at. When they are put into a life and death situation, Kendall finds strength that she never knew she had. Marc and Kendall save each other in more ways than one. This was an action packed adventure. I loved the fast pace of this book. I loved how Kendall started out as more of a wall flower and blossomed to a kick butt heroine. Maryann writes great alpha heroes with such a soft spot for the women they fall for. This book was a perfect addition to the Saint series and a really great read. I also loved catching up with all the characters from the other Saint books. So much fun to see what they are all doing now.
